I use CF pretty regularly. I was thinking about signing up for some hosting that offers ColdFusion Express for $10 a month. I read around and I found this list of tags that are supported by CF express.
I decided that with a combination of <cfinclude> and <cflocation> I could probably cover myself (that way if I find there is something I can't do I could always <include> stuff from my other CF server). Could anyone please tell me if <cfinclude> (and <cflocation>) in ColdFusion Express allow you to include content from different domains? I've run into problems with PHP in the past where certain versions only allow you to include content from the same domain. Any help would be appreciated. Gigasaurus |

Definitely do not do this. CF Express was based on CF 4.5 and that is totally obsolete. You can search around and find free or cheap (less than $20 a month) hosting on ColdFusion MX which is far superior.
And you can only include a file that is accessible as a network path or file system path. So I highly doubt you'd be able to include a file on one server into an app running on another server.
