custom tag problem - - please assist

I have recently migrated my site from Windows 2003 to RedHat ES 4.0.

There is a custom tag called cfx_imageInfo that references a .dll file to get things like image height, image width, etc.

I need to use this custom tag, but in the Unix environment the .dll doesn't work.

Any ideas? Is there a simple way to convert a .dll to a shared object (.so file)?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. You'll need to look for a tag that works under UNIX I'm afraid. I'm not aware of any way to run a Windows .dll under a UNIX environment.

Hmmm. Well that's discouraging. I'm quite tied to this particular custom tag as it is used throughout my site.

There's got to be a workaround. Grrrr.

Thanks for the reply, kiteless.
