Dreamweaver MX 2004 IDE
Everytime I open Dreamweaver, My standard toolbar and document toolbar are located to the far right. I have to drag them by the handles to bring them back to the left.
Can these be docked to the left permanently? |

I don't think this is the right forum for a quest like that, but...
Are you exiting the program properly? I find that with most windows (I'm assuming you're using a PC) programs, it will retain the settings of the previous placement of things like tool bars, window size, etc, but you have to exit the program properly. So, if it crashes, it obviously won't hold any of your old settings...just the first thing off the top of my head. |

There are two modes you can setup Dreamweaver MX--programmer and designer. Programmer sets the navbar to the left, designer to the right. At least in my experience. I set mine up in designer mode and the damn thing would always pop the toolbar on the right. There is a way I switched to programmer mode, but I can't recall...

Found it.
1. Go to Edit -> Preferences 2. In the left-side navigation, select "general" 3. Click the "Change Workspace" button. 4. Select "Coder" if it's not already selected. |

Switch to CFEclipse for coding and use Dreamweaver for design.

I'm pretty sure "designer" mode follows the same look and feel to the adobe suite, on the assumption if you are a deisgner, you're going to be using adobe products.
