error IP license restriction is in effect. - CFSERVER log message

Hiyas

I'm Running Licensed Enterprise ColdFusion MX Enterprise v 6,1,0,hf56991_611 on UNIX (2.6.10-1.741_FC3smp )

And getting this message,

"error IP license restriction is in effect. Can only accept connection from either localhost or five IP addresses, attempted from..."

is it a bad licence thing or is it a setting under CFADMIN?

couldnt find anything via google

I did try posting on the MM forums but no answer as yet

Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a bad serial number to me. Contact Macromedia.

Turns out there was a problem caused at instillation, when CF was first installed, the developer licence was used to quickly get through the installation process, then at a later point the enterprise licence was installed, this over wrote the CF licence with a valid key but, it didn't update the JRUN licence which continued to run the Developer licence (because CF runs on top of JRUN and not part of it).

MM Solution - full reinstall of CF+JRUN
