    How to Handle dynamic generated textbox in coldfusion


    Hi Experts ,

    i need to call dynamic generated textboxes in javascrip and i want to be highlighted on how i can call them using a server-side lang. like coldfusion and insert their values to a database ?


    any help or ideas will be more appreciated.

    hi Kitless,
    below is a picture of what i am trying to build :

    user can add dynamic text boxes and dropdown list or remove them (this work is done by javascript)
    the issue iam facing how to capture those values .. i was told that i have to do on coldfusion side ..

    I can't see your image, but it shouldn't matter if the form fields are dynamically created with JavaScript or not. You just submit the form to the server and CF can then do something with that data (save it to a database, email it, or whatever).

    Yes Kitless, but the issue is how to capture those dynamic textboxes again that is my question..not sure if i am clear but if i canattch a picture i 'll show you what it looks like..

    Well you either just submit the form (the same way you would submit any other HTML form) or write JavaScript to execute an AJAX call to the server when the user clicks the Submit button. Either of those will send the form data to the server where CF can access it though the FORM variable scope.
