Indexing PDFs without Verity but with CF?
Since I am running the Linux version of CF MX 6.1 the built in Verity search tool does not support indexing/searching of PDF files. Only the Windows version supports it.
So my quesiton is, what are my choices to use if I want to index and search PDF files and still us CF? Or will I have to opt for using PHP and some other package?
I have done some research and tried htdig, phpdig, and swish-e. However, the misspellings, general lack of documentation or editing 300 lines of code in four files to make the filter works hurts my head. Is there not something quicker and easier to setup that doesn't cost $10,000? Thank you in advance.
