Mediaobjects, Oracle and CF.

Hey Cold Fusion Gurus

My problem is as follows:
I have an Oracle 9i/Intermedia Database that holds almost all the information on the website I am making. There are no problems in extracting and presetning textual information, nor are there any problems with the connection to the database, so everything is inplace so that Ishould be able to get to those BLOBs right? Well..not quite.

In Oracle, we get to the BLOB by using the getContent fucntion in Oracle, but I can't seem to be able to make a variable such that the Cold Fusion Site can take that BLOB and store it by converting it to the right mime type etc.

Does anyone know how to do this in the proper way? Note that the DB server and the WEB server are not on the same domain or machine, so referencing the images as BFILES is not an option.

I truly hope you can help here.

Regards,
Amund

I haven't messed with BLOBs myself. Does this help at all?
