My server admin has advised me to upload my DB to his server the files have to be .sql. MySQL is saving them as a different extension. How can I save MySQL files/tables as .sql????

here is the "path" where my MySQL files reside:
../mysql/data/LearningCenter I see files named as followed student.MYD,student.MYI and student.frm . Now if I just rename these files to .sql there will data lost for sure. Am I not getting this? MySQL is installed on Windows XP. I have used Access but when using DB's on the web space is a problem and Access file are to "fat" so I have just started using MySQL for the smaller file sizes. |
