Out of Swap space?

Just recently, my CFMX7 server crashed (the .so module defined in httpd.conf is actually what the logs said crashed) and started giving weird "maybe out of swap memory?" errors. I did a couple of reboots, reinstalled CFMX7 a couple of times, and no matter what, it just wont start up anymore. Keeps saying somehting about it tried to reserve xxxxx bytes of memory but it failed, then says maybe out of swap space. So when doing a reinstall, it tries to start for the first time, and cant even load the right configuration lines into httpd.conf because it wont start the extension loader or something like that.

Is there anyone here that mgiht offer some good advice? Maybe a way to clear swap space so it can start fresh or something? Thanks everyone for your help

VPS
RHE3
2.6 Ghz
1 GB of RAM

My host doesnt seem to know what to do, he said he has not dealt with CF server before. Any help is appreciated, thanks again!

Never heard of this problem, but one thing to check is whether you have your Java heap size set too high in the CF administrator under Java and JVM settings. Don't forget that Macromedia also offers free installation support.

How would I go about even getting to the CF administrator panel if CF crashes before it can even add the correct load module information to my httpd.conf?

But I did ask around, I was told that the CFMX7 server requires a good size of swap space and memory to run correctly, so im working that out right now with my host to see if that fixes anything. Thank you for the help

EDIT-------------------------------------------------------

Well they upped the swap, and now its working again, well sort of atleast. it seems to run fine, but whenever trying to access a cfm file it returns an Internal Server Error like:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@worldgamerz.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Everything else seems to be fine, only cfm files. I have already added the default index pages to look for (I added index.cfm to the list)

And the first start said it ran the connection manager or whatever just fine. Any ideas? Thank you

UPDATE 2

After 5 minutes it finally fully came up, cfm docs were viewable. I then tried logging into the adminsitration panel and there is when it crashed. So now I have to wait for my host to reboot my server so i can fix it up again. Can someone recommand how much swap is good to run CFMX smoothly?
