out put of < > and < >l
ok so i'm trying to have cf output < and > in a textarea as well as > and < . the database saves it as < and > but when i do a cfoutout into a textarea it makes it into < and > and what i want is to have the < and > be < and >
in other words it looks like this < > instead of < > any ideas?

I think that this might actually be happening in your browser, not in CF. But you can possibly try some of the formatting functions like "htmlEditFormat()" or "htmlCodeFormat()" to see what happens.
