Scheduled Tasks Not Auto Running | CFMX 7 | RH AS 4
We are running cfmx 7 on red hat linux advanced server 4.
I have a scheduled task set to run every 1 minutes 1sec. I can run the task manually by pasting the url into a new browser window and also by hitting the run button in the cold fusion administrator. The problem is the task does not run automatically which is a pretty big problem. I check the neo-cron.xml file in the cfmxroot/lib directory and my task is listed. I checked the cron file for root and it is blank. Is there suppose to be a listing in the cron file? How does cold fusion run task on the linux platform? Thanks. I belive it sets a chron job, but I am running on Windows 2003 so I'm not positive.
As an aside, is it really necessary to have a scheduled task running every 1 minute? Seems a bit extreme to me. You might also look into using the new event gateways to trigger application events.
