Transition from PHP to CF - any advice?
Hi all,
I'm a PHP developer, and as a work requirement, I'm having to dig my nose into ColdFusion. I don't mind this, because the logic is already in my head - the transition should just be a case of learning the new syntax. Hah. ![]() Can anybody lend any advice as to things that I should be made aware of, etc. that will trip me up in my journey? I've already found that array's start at 1, which I found amusing, but it's that kind of quirkiness that I need to know. Many thanks in advance, Faunus |

Arrays starting at 1 is probably the biggest fundamental difference. I would recommend buying Ben Forta's ColdFusion Web Application Construction Kit, it will probably get you up to speed most quickly.
