Want to convert, but is it stable?
I am a web developer who has been using PHP on our in house sites and for building small sites for others for about a year now. I am by no means a PHP expert, but I can do the basics required for dynamic websites.
I have always been intrigued by CFML, but just could not afford Coldfusion Server for our inhouse stuff (we have our own server box). Now that New Atlanta has released a free CFML engine, this has all changed. I am very interested in changing over to CFML mainly because of the simplicity of the language and managing the app server. I need to cut down the amount of time it takes me to build apps, manage code and the server because I am also a content editor and need to spend most of my time there. My only fear in taking the plunge it whether or not Bluedragon Server is going to be up to the task should our traffic grow over the next year like we hope it will. Does anyone have experience with BD in a heavy traffic environment? Thanks |

New Atlanta makes several Java servers that all have a good reputation. I don't think you'll have a problem running BlueDragon, but note that the free version of BlueDragon does *not* have the full feature set that the purchased BlueDragon does (for example, I think there is no clustering and there is probably a whole list of items at their site).
