160gig HD showing as 1.52
I am trying to install a 160gig maxtor diamondmax plus 9 HD in a fairly new computer, i have installed the drive installed ME and patched XP over the top, so i should still be left with about 155gigs of free space. However when i boot into the xp os, and check the size of the HD, i am told i have a 1.52gig HD and only 159MB (or thereabouts) of this is free space.

Anyone able to help. i cannot find any hidden partitions which may be causing this!

Have done, formatted the c: drive, fdisk only shows C: but only at 6% of total available, no other partitions available!
