17/18/19" LCD opinions

looking to buy 17/18/19 inch LCD. any suggestions on brands/models? i dont play much games, just mostly designing. u noe photoshop, dreamweaver and all that. price does matter. no more than 600 but preferably under 500 (i realize i prolly cant get a 19" under 500).

eizo tend to get the good reviews. 17" is easily big enough.

Check out anandtech.com and tomshardware.com. I think at least one of them had a review or two on LCDs.

There's lots of talk about response rate, because that's what gamers need, but pay close attention to how true they say colors are represented. If you do presentation work with photoshop, your LCD generated colors might differ greatly from the CRT generated ones of the general public if you get a cheap display (or just one that errs badly in that segment). For coding, you obviously want one with good text clarity.
