Get a router. We have a wireless router and have five machines. About $75 for the router most of which support several wireless and several hard wired computers. It's on 24/7 and any PC can connect at any time w/o a master computer needing to be on.

And Yes, wireless router will be simplest solution. According to provider, they also would offer wireles Lan service. In this case, you can have modem/router changed into wireless Lan type.
However, I personally want to use low spec laptop as router making use of 1FD Linux or FreeBSD, unfortunately? provider offered also modem/router unity type. I attached 8 ports Hub, though ISP is offering wireless modem, but I'm not using it for the moment. When I get cheap access point, I'll make a laptop as router and as something server. |
