It should say when your computer boots up on the post screen. Hit the break key to freeze the screen

and 2 sticks of the same memory. SOme boards require them in specal slots like 1/3 or 2/4. Check your manual.

if they are running in DC. If you are unsure, check it out.

okay so my motherboard does support dual channel but all i had to do was switch sticks to the right slots, one was in the third instead of first. but now that i have done that all of a sudden when i'm playing my game the computer reboots? it doesnt even crash to windows but just reboots itself! i had stability issues when trying to play my game overclocked but even then it only crashed to windows. and i don't think it's a heating problem cuz my system isn't overclocked and i actually lowered my idle cpu temp from 40/41 to 36/37 after switching a fan direction about a week ago. but another reason i dont think it's heat is cuz i tried running the game with my cpu underclocked and it still rebooted. anyone have any ideas? if it's just the dual-channel being problematic then is there anyway i can disable it without switching the memory stick back?
