alright. i just finished building my first system from the ground up. i ordered a amd athlon xp 2400+ running at 266mhz. its a tbred and all that. but in bios it reads as athlon 1800+. i was wondering how to fix it. help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the fsb is set to 100 instead of 133. This is probably determined by a jumper on your mobo, or possibly in the bios. Check the manual.

alright i fixed it. i forgot about the jumper on the mobo. it reads 2020mhz now. thanks karsh44
