no boot problem help!
im building a new computer
i have ECS k7vta3 motherboard with
xp2200 1.8 ghz processor
and kingston PC2100 256mb DDR
i setted everything correctly and checked jumpers...wires etc
i also checked jumpers several times for clock speed and BIOS
so i turned computer on and fans and hard drive seems to be running but i dont get any signal from speaker or monitor
basically it turns on and nothing appears...
can please somebody help me?
i got all these devices from ebay and motherboard was in factory sealed box but processor and memory was in retail box

most of the time this can be solved by using the cmos jumper, clear the cmos. this should put the mother board back in a auto detect state and should find your hardware and boot. if not bad or incorrect ram, and video card would be next on my list to double check, first try pulling them out and putting them back in, if no help try different ram, and video.

i tried CMOS and it didnt work
i guess it may be the video card since i tried to pull off a heat sink that was bonded into GPU
but im not sure becuase i only tried lil bit...and
if the video card is causing the problem...should the hard drive run like normally do?(making all that noises and stuff) because it starts and runs for sec and doesnt do anything
and could it be the processor? if not what would appear or happen if the processor is dead

if all your stuff is new, and you have the right ram for the board, i would bet the motherboard would be bad out of the lot, you have a ecs board,.....i see lots of trouble with them.
