Can't get Sony DW-U18A DVD to write
I can read CDs and DVDs, write CDs but can't write DVDs from XP or Pinnacle Studio 9. XP comes back with a message that the CD is not writeable or is full.
Tried deleting and re-installing the drive but that makes no difference. Tried selecting a new region in the DVD properties menu but says 'don't have admin permissions.. Any suggestions?

DVD has several standards, are you using supported medias?
However, there seemed to exist similar defects in media, and supported by Richo and Sony formerly. Consult the Maker's Web Page.
