Case/Motherboard/Other Suggestions

Hi,

I am looking to build a new high spec gaming machine (no O/Cing), and I would like your input on the following selections (are they any good).. I also need to select a case. I'm not into all the case modding windows, extra LED fans, etc. I'd like something as small and silent as possible but that is expandible and can carry all of this specs... I also need a motherboard that will fit the case and support all of the devices. It would be good to have onboard RAID support (1) otherwise I will need a raid controller. I would also accept a Shuttle if it will fit and there is not power or heat problems (and no mobo needed then if it is flex-atx already).

AMD ATHLON XP2400+ 266MHZ FSB 256Cache Thoroughbred CPU - OEM OR AMD ATHLON XP2700+ 333MHZ FSB 256Cache CPU - Thoroughbred - OEM if the board supports it (and worth it for extra FSB)

RAM
Crucial 512 DDR266 PC2100 DIMM or better if the mobo supports it
Crucial 128 DDR226 PC2100 DIMM (already own) or not if using higher spec ram unless it is still compatible

Hard Drive
Maxtor 6Y080P0 Plus 9 80Gb 7200rpm 8mb Cache ATA133 Hard Drive - OEM or 2 if mobo supports RAID1 onboard

Optical and Floppy Drives
Samsung 52x24x52x16x IDE DRIVE (COMBO) - OEM
Panasonic Floppy Drive 1.44mb - OEM

Graphics
Sapphire Radeon 9600 APG x8 128MB DDR DVI-I TV-Out Lite Retail

will be running XP also, not sure if home or pro is better to get (pricewise)

obviously, motherboard raid would be better and I might not do raid if I can't find a good mobo with raid support. however, on newegg there are some suitable products but not on uk sites

anyone?

Looks to me like you have already made your decisions about your setup.
