CD drive not ejecting(opening)
My CD drive has stopped working when I press the eject the green light flashes but the CD is not ejecting at all. What could be the reason for this.

I would say because it is broken.
More information would be useful. What caused it to stop? Is it just old? Does it show up as working correctly in the device manager?

What happens when you right-click the drive in My Computer and select eject? If it works, the button is probably defective and the drive is ready to be replaced.
If you have a CD stuck in the drive look for a small hole just under the tray, open a paperclip and push it in to manually release the cd.
good luck

hmmm, sound like your going to have to do a full discectomy.
If the manual release doesn't work, I would remove the drive from your machine and pry the puppy open. Retrieve your disk and then toss your CD drive and go buy another.

my cd-rom drive also does this sometimes. (when it feels like it)
my fix: i take the power cable out of cd-rom, and put it back in...or swap with another power cable.
plz post results :-)
