I have a compac presario and it has two partitions one for my OS and things, the other for my back up drivers etc, now I want to get rid of them and install a new OS all on one combined hard drive, how do I go about doing thi? I wanna use fdisk but am a little nervous, can anybody help me out?

I have a presario 1200 lap top and simply put in an old set of DOS 6.2 disks and went to town. The draw back was in finding drivers for the sound and video. It all worked out though and I had more disk space and a lot less compaq on my system.

Both Of You mi=ust be having compaq quick restore cd's with you first try them out.
If it doesn't work out,Make partitions using fdisk,u can get help on fdisk command atwww.microsoft.com Compaq recommend only one partion for drivers you can find them at hp site. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html |
