Computer Boot Problems
Here's the scenario...
Older Computer (celeron 300mhz) OS: Win98 Systems starts to boot up... goes to Win98 startup screen... then a black screen with the flashing cursor for about 20 seconds... then just the black screen. The Harddrive is still purring away. Does the same thing under "safe mode". Is this a problem with just the video card or is it deeper like the motherboard and/or RAM? Thanks, Andrew

take out all but needed ram, turn on, change ram around until promblem disappears or not, at least this will narrow the promblem area down, if you have a old video card try it also. that the only way to tell what is bad.
