Computer Problems, screen messing up,computer not wanting to boot.

stupid computer has been acting up lately.

alright about everytime i start up my computer the screen is either all messed up...you can see the colors merging towards the center.or it has a control panel for the monitor to change screen width, sharpness, etc.

i am also getting problems with boot up as of today. when i started up the hdd activity led stayed on.and my cd-rom led was flashing.

so i had to turn it off.and then back on and it started working perfectly.

it almost acts like it needs to "warm up" before it can work properly.

also the newest thing i added was an ati radeon 9600pro but it's about 2 months old.

specs:
amd athlon xp +2400.
biostar m7viq (still havent recieved my rma'd abit)
768mb corsair ram
Western Digital 7200RPM, 8MB Cache, 80GB "Special Edition"
powmax 450 watt
9600 pro

Maybe a problem with the BIOS? If your 9600 Pro had a section of its own which it adds to you BIOS it may have dissagreed with other General BIOS settings when you installed the card. Remove the board's battery and wait 45sec so that it Clears the CMOS.

See if that helps!
