Computer will not boot!

I have a problem with my computer not booting. When i switch it on the fans come on, the CD-R light comes on and the HD light comes on but the power light does not there is no beep and the computer does not boot. So i have to switch it off at the switch at the back and keep trying to switch it on until it finally boots, which can often take many many attempts. Is this a power supply problem or something else?

Exclamation sounds like this!

Do you have a "no signal to monitor message coming up" >

The best thing to do first is open the case and make sure nothing is lying around, unplugged, burning, unwanted material in there. Return the computer on same thing happens.
reset bios> remove cmos batt located on mainboard for about 2-15mins. return computer on.
*if not fixed*
start removing unnessasary drives eg> cd rom > floppy > xtra hard drives or n e other xtrad> if u get beeps u know somethings wrong if not its either the board or the cpu> test cpu in another computer>

i think the battoriy should fix ur problem if not i am assuming the board is stuffed.

Hope that helps n ways mate,
jake

u can always try a boot disk that mite wrk as well ?

well l8ers mate
