Exclamation Computer won't boot or beep

My computer won't boot up when I plug it in because I get no signal on the monitor and my keyboard doesn't light up (like caps lock) and there are no beeps like there are usually but my fan, hard drive, cd-rom and dvd-rom drives turn on. I have tried switching processors and switching my video card to the integrated video card but nothing happens. One strange thing that usually doesn't happen is that when I plug in my computer it instantly turns on, whereas before I had to press the ON/OFF button. This problem has occurred ever since I moved from college to my house. Do you have any ideas on what could be wrong?

It could be a number of things. First thing I do is pull out the modem and try. One some PC's if the modem is fried, the machine won't POST.

Next, see if you can get your hands on an additional power supply (P/S). Your P/S may be shot and not giving enough juice to the components.

After that, try changing out the memory.

Usually if a machine isn't posting, you have a bad component somewhere. Just try to narrow it down.
