Confused about ram

I own a Packard Bell ixtreme 9505 and i know that it takes RDRam but the thing is do i have to find ram at the same speed as my current ones (PC800) or should any speed work?

You should be able to mix speeds, the system will work at the slowest of the installed speeds.

Thanks alot. btw what is ECC? i was just looking at some ram and they had ECC and non-ECC versions.

Thats really something you could find on google. Error Checking and Correction. You may not be able to mix the types, so be sure of what you have.

Thanks, I dont think the kind in mine at the moment is ECC so i'll just look for non-ECC kind.
