DDRAM prob

Hello ppl.

Im having problem installing my DDR RAM, and dont know what the problem is.

My motherboard has 3 DDR RAM slot, I have 2x 512MB DDR CHIP and 1x256MB DDR RAM chip, the 2 512 are exactly the same, but when I mount all 3 onto the mother board, it will not work, more specifically, when I put any 2 chips on the 2nd and 3rd slot, it will not work, it will only work when I put 1 in 1st slot, and 1 in any of the other 2.

I read the manual, and it says that the 2nd and 3rd must be same spec? but they are...

Please take a look at my manual which I scanned to see if you know whats going on?

Thanks.

What are the ram chips (brand and model)? You can't put two sided ram in both slot 2 and 3, so that may be your problem.

It would have chips on both sides. At least the 512mb sticks are probably 2 sided. You could also ask the manufacturer.

The bigger the module, the more likely it is double sided. Its hard to tell when buying often though, its usually not listed. I would recommend that you contact the vendor you are considering buying from to see if the ram you want is single or double sided.
