Dell laptop / power problems
Has anyone had any problems (and hopefully solutions) with a Dell laptop LCD display losing power when the laptop is plugged in?
Is this a result of overheating? Is it a Windows power management glitch? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Did you check your Power Management settings? Have you timed how long it takes for the LCD to shut off - is it the same every time or random? Does jiggling the screen make it funky? Does the screen come back ever, or do you have to reset the machine? When the machine resets, does the LCD come back on? Does this particular laptop have any setting in the BIOS related to power management?
