dragging and humming music when cd-rom in use
hello all,
well, i am facing a strange problem from past few days...i use winamp to play music on my system...but from past few days its so happening that whenever i play music from cd-rom, i hear a humming sound with the music and its really noisy...the music also drags...i mean gets slower than the speed with which it shud play....  the same thing happens even when i am not playing music from cd-rom but accessing it for other purpose... but this problem was not there when i used any other players like realone, windows media player etc. i am using winamp 5 and my comp specefications are: AMD Athlon 1800+ 256 DD RAM SAMSUNG CD ROM DRIVE 52X nVidia GeForce2 @ 32MB nVidia nForce sound card

If it only happens with winamp, its not a hardware problem I would guess. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling winamp?
