You don't need drivers to use a router, they exist separate from your computer.

Maybe you're talking about the firmware, but even then whatever you have on the device is fine.

typically to access SOHO routers you just point your web browser to their IP. Don't know its IP, do this:

Start -> Run -> type "cmd"
type in "ipconfig /all"
find the line reading "Gateway"

that IP is almost guarenteed to be your router, copy that into your web browser like this:

http://192.168.1.1

or whatever the IP you got from the Gateway field.

AHHHH, so your ISP gave you something and now it dosen't work... Is it DSL by chance? It probably is something that triggers the PPP Authentication. Don't understand? Don't worry about it. Your best bet is to call your ISP (since they are the only ones that could reset your password if you don't have it. Tell them you don't want the software on your PC anymore. The modem/router should be handling your PPP Authentication anyways.

If my assumption is wrong and you don't have DSL, let us know. Definitely try the ISP and get them to help you since it's their equipment. (again, another assumption)
