Free Data Recovery Information

Would like to share the release of a new web site dedicated to data
recovery. The current release includes the basic processes required to
recover data from hard disk drives, data recovery related software for
download (freeware and demoware), a forum for users and IT professionals to
ask questions or get answers.

Visit: http://www.howtorecoverdata.com

The site also features "RFQ Blaster". RFQ Blaster sends a request for quote
to multiple data recovery companies in one shot. Saves time!

The site is in the early stages of development. We intend to provide
additional detailed and step by step instructions to recover data from all
types of media. Donations in the form of articles or "things I've done" are
welcome. Details will be posted to the site in the next few days.

Surf over and have a look.

Rick

Rick,

Seems like a pretty good site, especially if one has never had to deal with recovering data from a bad disk before. I was very interested to see what software packages you recomend for data recovery and file repair and was somewhat disapointed to see that you were not able to rate/list any actual products yet (other than the TryWare section). I'll have to check back again once you reach agreements with the manufacturers.

Also how much are you guys thinking of charging for a membership?

Ian

We're adding more stuff every day. Subscription section is now available. That's where software recommendations are located.

Ian,

Update!

I've recently eliminated the subscription section and merged the subscription information into the new site. I've discontinued the forum as well. I'm still working thru agreements with the software people and the software reviews will follow when that's complete. I've merged the software into the relevant pages. The only stuff on the software page is the truely free software for data recovery applications.
