I'm sticking with bad motherboard; mostly becuase this thread is 3 months old and I'm a stubborn Irishman.

Another idea is to remove EVERYTHING. Leave only the following plugged in:

- Power supply
- Motherboard
- CPU w/ heatsink & fan
- On-board speaker (you may need to acquire one)

You should get a "missing memory" beep code. If you don't even get that, your problem lies in one of the remaining attached items.

PICK UP A motherboard speaker from your local pc shop or order one online. Unfortuneately, most main baords and computer cases dont come with these anymore, and they are useful for troubleshooting.

Buying a video card was a waste. You dont even need your built in graphics to be working to get a post, which your not getting, so its your ram, main board or CPU.

probably the CPU, I just went through a similar issue, and it was my cpu.

The ram replacement was one of the first thing that i tested.

I can only assume its a bad board, so for that reason, i'm giving up.

*edit* wierd... posts got all jumbled, and i replied to an old topic, but either way, i am giving up
