I really like my logitech z560 (i think). It's a 4.1 setup, gives off good bass for a decent price. if you want alot build a home stereo system rather than a computer system and hook it up that way. I also heard Klipisch have some good speakers too.
Good Luck

Exactly what the gentleman from Wisconsin said. I have two sets of Logitech speakers. A 2.1 and a 5.1 set. The 5.1 set is nice but not practical to set up the rear speakers in my house. So, I have both sets in 2.1 mode. One is hooked to my PC and one set is hooked up to the Playstation2. I don't know how to quantify "a lot of bass." The speakers are really good for $40-70. They work great for gaming and listening to music. They're not going to work if you want a house thumping system.
Speakers are powered (PC speakers) or unpowered (home stereo or TV surround sound). If you want a lot of bass then you could hook up an unpowered satelite/sub-woofer system through a home stereo amplifier or receiver. Of course, if you don't already have the stereo amp or receiver, it's a lot more money. |
