HDD LED: Problems, please help

My HDD LED was working it stayed on the entire time, which i dont think it was supposed to do but it was doing. Anyway i decided that it was not very bright so i began to fiddling around with the cords and plugged it into different places and non of them lit it up. I then returned it to its original location but now it stopped working completely. I cant figure this out, i have tried opening massive programs to make it blink like its supposed to but it wont light no matter what now. Any help would be very welcome! thanks

I wouldn't bother!

Make sure you havent rotated the plug 180 degrees on the pin's as that would stop it working and it can fit on both ways
