Help! Something burned in laptop power circuit(?)
I am attempting to repair a Gateway Solo 1200, the power jack of which was broken. At first I tried to reattach the original power jack but there was arcing when I connected the power adapter, and smoke... I am fairly sure the smoke came from the diode that was between the negative poles, but I am having great difficulty finding this diode (labeled PC26) or an appropriate replacement. I am posting images of the entire board and also a closer image of the power supply area in hopes that someone may be able to clue me in on what to replace the diode with as well as which microfuses are likely to have been popped as a result. I'm fairly sure it was exposed to reversed polarity beyond just the arcing. Someone PLEASE help me out here! Thanks!
