how important is RAM hehehe... ugggghhhh
So i just spent in the range of 450 dollairs, to build my own system and i just installed a video card and when i started it for the first time. and nothing happened every thing started, all the fans started and the thermometer works, but i get nothing on screen then i remembered that i do not have any ddr sticks in the slots, and my question is "is DDR stick and RAM needed to start a computer and enter the bios?"
I know its kinda a stupid question for some of you pros out there but i want t know if im an idiot, or did i mess up and just end up with a $500 night light. |

You need RAM, or you're going nowhere.

Yes.
Absolutely,
memory is needed to pass the POST and to boot at all. It's good stuff :-) |
