You need to set the computer to boot from the CD-ROM drive. Go in the BIOS, hold down delete as it's booting and you'll get there. Do a search on BIOS with your PC's BIOS. When you boot look for Award or Phoenix.

It tells you put in the boot cd or somthing like that

And you put in the cd for the operating system and nothing happens <--(oo;?(It doesn't tell you any more?)

The CDD is ditzy or CD has flaws. Download bootdisks from bootdisk.com and give it a go.

Note: Describe your environ completely not to waste time.

So you bought this computer without an OS on it, or did you build it yourself? As Megumi said, give all your system details.

What OS? Are you sure the CD is bootable? Can you try another CD? As for boot disks, can't you use another/someone else's computer to obtain them?
When you try this, you get no error messages, just nothing happens. Is that correct?

OH MY GOD...

OK, lets back up and start by asking the right questions...

You bought this computer without an OS?
What OS are you trying to install?
Is the CD with your operating system a bootable CD? (if this is a copied CD, it might not be bootable)

Did you set up your BIOS to try to boot from the CDROM and the HDD, or JUST the CDROM? Maybe the HDD does have an OS and you're just not letting it boot?

Lastly, you said you can't download a bootable disk? How the heck are you posting these messages? Use THAT computer to download the bootable and then take the floppy and put that in the OSless computer...

Answer these questions and you should be going in the right direction...

(^~;?(What to do about downloadin' to Floppy directly?)

Once down' to HDD and run it.

Everyone are telling you that you should describe your system details and what have you done. Otherwise, No one can answer it. All right?

No idea. You need more details when you ask questions. Try downloading the image to your hard drive, then saving to the floppy. And as Megumi said, give us all the details of your system.
