I'll try again..

Since something was apparently wrong with my last question,

can someone help this poor girl with her pc problems?

1)See my post :"Hard drive Drop out"..

2)I have an ide controller card in a fairly new machine, and it picks up the 30gb in there (connected to it). When I put the 30 in by itself (without card) it doesn't boot up..I have had to use a small drive for windows, then use the 30 as secondary. But how do I get the 30 as the Primary Master?(And alone, not by controller card)

Please help this dumb blonde..

How many other IDE devices do you have? What channel are they connected to, and which is master and slave? How is the BIOS setup for the IDE channels (drive settings)?

I suspect you have a combination of master/slave settings that are incorrect and/or BIOS settings that aren't set properly configured.
