I'm having wiring problems with building my pc

I used to have a dell but i decided they were crap and wanted to remove everything dell from it, so i got the following items;

Thermaltake VA1000 Xaser III
Gigabyte GA-8I875/GA-8Ik1100
P4 3.06 533fsb HT
Maxtor 120GB S-ATA 8mb cache
Some 80GB IBM crap from my dell(secondary download hd)
Ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb
Soundblaster audigy 2
Thermaltake +7 Spark cpu fan
Eye-T 550w PSU
2x512 PC3200 DDr400
2x256 PC???? DDr333

Basicly it switches on when i press the power button but the monitor stays in hibernation, i wasn't sure where all the PS wires were to go so maybe somethings not getting power that should be? Also i can't get the in-case fans to work and i can't controll the cpu fan from the unit that comes with it( it just runs at full power). I'm also not sure whether to have my S-ATA in slot 0 or slot 1, does it make a difference? Does my GFX card need to be plugged into that 4pin connecter for extra power(in the manual it says it's incase your AGP Pro card requires extra power).

Unhappy you should take to the shop mate

Well if your cpu fans are not spinning then u obviously stuffed up>
this is a big problem> cpu and board could b fried and u cant fix that problem.
u should take it to someone who can fix it before u stuff it up.

But if there were no fans going on the cpu u have probberbly all ready blown it.
sorry mate,

Do not turn on the computer if the cpu fan doesn't spin.
It does sound like you've missed some connections. Google around, there are lots of places that walk you through building a computer, some with pictures. You need to learn how everything is supposed to go together, before you can try to assemble the whole thing.
Start with just the basics: Video card, cpu, ram, hard drive. Get that working, then add in your other peripherals.
