I wet my thinkpad
Oh my God oh my God something horrible just happened
I accidently tripped over and knocked a glass of water on my IBM thinkpad. It restarted itself then it turned completely off so I tried drying it then smoke started comin out so I immediatly unplugged the charger and then I took the battery out, blew dried the thing from a distance for about 5 minutes and palced it in a dry place and it's there right now. Imma take it to get fixed tomorrow but does anyone know if it can EVER be fixed and an estimate of the cost would also help

is it possible, yes, it is BARELY possible your comp will work again. i have seen stanger things happen before. is it likely? no. i think the smoke you saw pouring out of it should give you a clue that it's fried. you might be able to save the hard drive, and maybe the keyboard and screen if you just canabalize the machine. otherwords i think you are up $#!T creek without a paddle in a cement boat that's got a gaping hole in the bottom.

every computer can be fixed as long as all the new parts can still fit in the case (i.e. the case is not flatten), however.....

Seriously though, I think your computer is toast but you may be able to salvage the hard drive out of it, and maybe any cards, etc.
