IBM Servers...
Hey there guys,
I am just wondering if any of you use IBM servers in your work environments. I have x2 xSeries 232 servers and would like to speak to others in regards to redundency when it comes to IBM servers.
What are your thoughts and experiences?
I would like to purchase some spare parts for my machines in the event of a device failure I can simply just take out the old and whack in the new.
I plan on purchasing x2 PSU's, which I think will be quite straight forward to replace.
Only thing I'm concerned about is that each of the 232 servers utilise 18.2GB SCSI hard drives but today these drives are now obselete therefore I only have 36.6GB SCSI to choose from for purchase.
I'm curious to see how a 36.6GB will affect a RAID array of 1 and 5 that consists of only 18.2GB drives.
Curious to hear what you guys have to say.
