Installing Windows through Net Boot
I have a laptop that does not have a functional CD drive. I wanted to format it and install Windows XP. I wanted to know how i could use the netboot option to get this done.
Is there any sort of FREE PXE Service Software for windows XP i can use on my computer to get it to function as a net boot server. |

FREE PXE Service Software for windows XP <---(^^;?(What's PXE service?)
net boot server.<---(^^;?(Is that a mistake of net boot client?) There are several versions of Network Boot Disks available from bootdisk.com or Mybootdisk.com or so. The point is whether your NIC chip is popular enough or not. Once you can get TCP/IP connection established, you have flexible choices. Generally speaking, it would be easy and sure to copy \i386 to the fat32-formatted drive. Note: Netboot server might become 1FD Samba server. As for this, go to Linux square. |
