Integrated Video Card not working w/ Wireless Internet.

I can't get my new computer to be connected to the internet and play a game at the same time. If I try, the game freezes. I'm able to play the game if I disable the wireless connection.

I have an AMD Athlon 3000+ w/ an integrated video card + Netgear wireless router/pci card.

So why is it having trouble w/ the wireless connection? Is it the video card or the wireless connection? The combination seems to work on other, older PC's.

(^^;?(I'm not make sure of this, but as no one answered yet.)

Though I don't know what kind of game it is, any game should have its own configuration probably by ???.cfg file. So much so that, it must have been installed according to your new functions of system. Then it is not strange, but quite natural. Try to configure again or delete cfg-file once. Update DirectX, run DirectX diag. Also check irq conflict or disable irq sharing in Bios.

However, freeze is caused by shortage of resource, so if the game is trying to use new function using more resource, it may be natural that the either must be disabled.

okay.. the computer now freezes even when i'm just browsing the internet. or if i leave the connection enabled before shutting it down, the computer freezes on the welcome screen once and i have to reboot in order for it to come up again. i'm guessing it's the wireless connection. i am going to try connecting the router w/ the ethernet jack.

Use task manager to pay attention to resource, even if it has something to do with wireless modem or so, there must be some resource eater to cause freeze.
