Laptop hangs

My laptop hangs often. It can hangs just after few minutes of usage. Even I rebooted, it still hangs after a few minutes. I tried reformatting but the same thing happens. Only about 5% of the time, it stays ok for 1 or 2 hr before it hangs again.

Thw weird thing is only when I play full-screen games, it doesn't hang at all.

Any idea why the laptop hangs?

Hey,
I kinda had the same problem, my 9600 Pro liked games, but crashed on the desktop, I reformated and updated drivers, but Im sure its my mainboard which is still making the crashes, looks the same for you, unless you are running any tools which tweak or optimize games, that "may" affect desktop activity.

If you can, run some diagnostics on as much hardware as possible, and record system temperatures and fan speeds!

Your looking for a diagnostics tool, if you cant find any tools on the manufacturer's site, try emailing them, or try Google, or www.majorgeeks.com, they have lots of generic diagnostic tools.

Go through the link, and on the download page, read about them first and see which one is needed the most. Do so for each of them.

If your unsure, post the description in a thread here, and we can tell ya if you should download it or not!
