Question Laptop Wont Boot Up
Its a HP Pavillion dv6000, Win XP, wireless.

I can get onto the hard drive and copy files but when i boot up, there are three beeps 'Beeeeeeeep ....... Beep Beep' and the screen is black.

Any ideas on how to sort this out?

Sounds like a display adaptor problem. Is the laptop under warranty still?

Its over a year old so i dont think so. Is there anything i can do. I'm not very good on the hardware side of things to be honest.

I'd say first thing is to hook up an external monitor and see if that allows you to see anything.
