Question Lexmark Z13 "lock-up"

Here's the thing:
I own a Lexmak Z13 inkjet, and one time i inpluged the power for it (surge protector), and when i turned it back on, the printer isn't working. I get an error light flashing and a knocking noise every second or so. Can't turn it on or off, unpluging power doesnt help either. Obviously, the computer doesnt recognize the printer either (btw, its a usb port, goes through a hub). This is actually the second time of this happening, and last time it started operating fine literally all of the sudden. So, I am just wondering if anyone had similar difficulties before, and (or) could help me out...

I just threw my Lexmark in the trash. I think it was a Z23 model. I got it on sale last year for $25. On top of that they had a $15 rebate so it was a net $10 to me. I just replaced it with a Samsung ML-1740 laser for $80. If turning it off and on won't fix the problem and you tried it direct to the PC without the USB hub, I'd get a new printer. You could try to pull the inks out and put them back in but it's not worth much time or effort unless you just bought new ink.
