Maxtor 160Gb/8Mb on SE-440BX2
I want to buy HD Maxtor 160Gb/8Mb and my MB is Intel/SE-440BX2 (i already have WD 80Gb, that works fine)
Is this HD capacity compatible with 440bx2 chipset (or it's limited to 130Gb)? I use WinXP. Can i use this 160Gb HD on my system as 137Gb HD, without damaging it? If not, should i use PCI-IDE card, will it help? |

i don't see why it shouldn't work to be honest but wait for an expert to see what they say!!

why would you only want to us 137 of 160 GB??? i dont think it would damage it, just format 137GB of it but it seems strange to me why you would want to waste 23GB??? RF
