Maxtor DiamondMax 9 problems

My roommate, BF and I purchased 6 120 gb diamondmax 9 hdds, 2 for each of 3 computers (all 3 computers run on RAID 0) and within 4 months 5 were sent back to Maxtor for errors. Has anyone else had this problem. We have discovered the reason why, the fluid dynamic bearing on the bottom keeps melting and getting over the other parts of the hard drive. The hard drives we have now are still going, but i can tell that one of mine is melting again so its a matter of time. Anyone else have this problem, or have any suggestions for me.

I've never really had anything but trouble from Maxtor drives. Sure they are cheap(especially with all the rebates going around) but they always seem to fail after a short period of time and just when you need them most! I reccomend staying away from Maxtor.
